The Museum of the Wine Grower
Come to visit this exhibition so as to pay homage to the courage and the know-how of wine growers who have known promoting the wine development to the level of a art, transforming it in a Art of Life.

Wine has always accompanied men’s life and, with the bread, it’s the oldest of agricultural products in the world.
Wine has played a major role in the development of the civilizations.
Egyptians and Hebrews have known how to cultivate and cut the vines.
Greeks, who were accused of drinking wine with excess, allowed their wifes to use it but they never admited it in their banquets.
Roman women, on the contrary, were admitted in the most sumptuous lunches, but wine was forbidden, instead of men who consumed great quantities when they were present.
Christianity took over, joining bread and wine in the sacrifice of the mass and it were monks who, from the XI century, had spread the vine growing in Europe.
Free visit of 30 minutes with boards about the 12 months of vines works.

The castle of Sercy

Castle of Sercy plain (XII, XV century), with its pond lined by centuries-old trees, draws attention to itself by a high circular tower surmounted by a “hourd” (wood gallery, one of the oldest in France). This building is listed.
Free and gratis visit of the park all year.
